- MedicsPro are seeking experienced Recovery nurses - Band 5 with recent NHS experience, who are looking for flexible extra shifts or full-time agency work within the Liverpool Area.
This opportunity is to cover Monday - Sunday, day shifts, during the hours of 8am-8pm. Various Working Shifts Available.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare instruments and set up surgical equipment to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
· Assist in positioning, preparing, and draping patients according to surgical procedures.
· Support the surgical team by scrubbing in for surgery and anticipating the surgeon's needs for
equipment and instruments.
· Label and document medications and other items used in the operating room accurately.
· Monitor and record the patient's respiratory and cardiovascular signs throughout the procedure.
· Communicate effectively with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure smooth and successful
operations.
· Consider potential complications and develop a plan of action for any necessary lifesaving
measures.
· Maintain strict hygiene standards, including washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after procedures.
