- Description
- Medicspro have a full time locum roles for experienced Orthopaedic Practitioners to cover roles across the UK for long term contracts.
*The post holder will routinely work across site when required, supporting the trusts plaster rooms
*The post holder will routinely apply casts throughout the hospital. This will involve the application of plaster of paris & synthetic casting materials also thermo plastic splinting.
*The post holder will be required fit orthopaedic appliances e.g. wrist splints, knee and elbow braces, spinal bracing, collars and below knee walkers etc.
*The post holder will maintain an environment that is conductive to the delivery in high standards of care and establishment of good communications between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
*British Orthopaedic Association Casting Certificate
*In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology and of orthopaedic conditions
*Sound working knowledge of casting materials
*Experience of application of casting and splints
