- One of our very good clients requires the below cover
RVH medicine requires a SHO doctor to work within the COE Department with General Medicine on calls.
This post is for 4 months -: August - December 2024
An updated CV including explanations for any gaps in employment / training
At least 1 years' UK experience
GMC number and confirmation that registration is up to date
A copy of their passport for Photographic ID
Two recent references relating to the specialty and grade applied for
An Access N.I. Check must be completed and the reference number provided (A DBS CHECK DOES NOT SUFFICE)
A statement of eligibility to work
Proof of Qualifications i.e. Bachelor of Medicine Certificate
ALS
Fit to Work form
Anti-coagulant Certificate
Deprivation of liberty mental capacity act 2005 (level 3 and level 4a)
Hyponatraemia Certificate
Infection Control Certificate
Right Patient Right Blood
 LBT Blood Components
 LBT Safe Transfusion
With regards to the last three, our Haemovigilance team have advised the following.
Locum staff should provide evidence of:
Transfusion Theory certificates - E Learning modules (Check with Haemovigilance or the Haemovigilance page on the Trust intranet site re approved E learning platforms):
*"Safe transfusion Practice" module if involved in practical transfusion roles such as obtaining a pre-transfusion sample and/or administration of a Blood Component. 3 yearly updates
*"Blood components and Indications for use" module if involved in authorising (prescribing) blood components. 3 yearly updates
*"Consent for transfusion" module if undertaking patient consent for transfusion. 3 yearly updates
RPRB Competency certificates (OSCE)
*Competency certificate for obtaining a pre-transfusion sample (Competency 1). 3 yearly updates
Competency certificate for administration of a Blood Component
