Description
Birmingham Children's Hospital are looking for a consultant to join them from 27.05-31.08.

This position is 9-5 Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 telephone on-call commitment.


The position is based at Birmingham Children's with a requirement to visit Birmingham Women's hospital every week.

The successful candidate will participate in the provision of a comprehensive clinical medical microbiology and infection prevention & control service across the Trust, including: advice regarding appropriate specimens; involvement in specimen analysis; validation and interpretation of results for transmission to clinical users; involvement in the management of individual patients through full clinical liaison; provision of antibiotic advice; support for a programme of antibiotic stewardship; provision of advice and guidance on infection prevention & control.
