Talking with the paramedics and taking over the patient's care
Doing the initial patient examination to assess the patient's needs
Fixing dressings and administering medication for pain relief
Determining what department the patient needs to be referred to
Completing all paperwork including discharge forms
Making detailed notes
Upholding high care standards
Making arrangements to admit patients into hospital if needed
Keeping families informed
Keeping in close contact with laboratory staff to pass results onto A&E docto
