- 1 x Mid Grade Dr for MOPS Sat and Sun only
Weekends 9-hour days, Working Hours:
·Start time - 08:00
·End time 18:00
·1 hour lunch unpaid each day
This will be a One Stop Dermatology Service.
Patient will be seen in clinic.
Expected 50% will need to be referred back to GP with treatment plan and discharged.
Expected 30% will need MOPS.
Expected 10-20% will have a inflammatory disease and need ongoing treatment.
Of the 30% for MOPS - this will be done on the same day.
So Patient seen by Consultant, needs a biopsy, will be consented by Consultant in room, patient will be transferred to Middle Grade Dr for Biopsy.
Biopsy sent to histology, reviewed / follow up the next week.
If Biopsy is cancer, Xyla Dr will have direct referral to hospital MDT for decisions.
If biopsy is place is on face or say under nail Xyla Dr will have referral pathway to MaxFax and plastics. The 10-20% that have a inflammatory disease, if then need short term care the will be seen as a follow up in Xyla clinic, if long term will be referred back to hospital own team.
Number of Patients agreed
Morning / Afternoon session 24 - 26 per clinic
24 for the first day which is the 12th and then 26 patients thereafter.
