- Key Locums has secured a vast number of Long-term locum contracts for GPs across the UK working with the MOD in Army, RAF and Navy bases. Roles are available at over £10,000 per month (pro rata) and offer fixed positions from regular individual days to 37.5 hours per week guaranteed for a fixed period.
Are you sick and tired of covering over 30+ patients per day? Covering the early 7am start or 8pm finish? Are you stuck doing home visits, long lists of admin or audits?
This role offers you a far better balance in your working week whilst still allowing you to earn more than in a salaried role. Working full time as a Locum in the MOD you can earn over £100,000 a year with 8 weeks holiday per year.

"Incredibly friendly patients and staff. Generally, staff at this client are committed and positive minded people, they are very welcoming and grateful for your help. Fifteen-minute appointments, more for medicals, no home visits and easy access to physiotherapy make the job just more pleasant. Many sites have family dependants, so although your main patient base is approx. ages 18-60 you don't lose your skills with children. No QOF tick boxes, and their version of EMIS is integrated all patients have full medical record access. You will enjoy a lunch break, normally with a variety of colleagues from various backgrounds, not just healthcare, and the food is good and very economical. Many bases can provide accommodation which is so much more sociable in the evenings than staying in a hotel"
